OpenAI CLI
OpenAI released an official CLI for its REST API, installable via Homebrew or Go (Go 1.26+), with resource-based commands, tab completion, JSON/YAML output formats, file uploads, mutual TLS beta support, and proxy-aware update checks that never auto-install. It wraps the same REST endpoints, so existing API keys, admin keys, and environment variables like OPENAI_API_KEY and OPENAI_BASE_URL work directly. Notable changes include the retirement of images create-variation (use images edit instead) and an untrusted-stdin mode that disables @file references when piping untrusted input.
