Google released v2.30.0 of the google-genai Python SDK, adding streaming continuation support (continuation tokens, CONTINUATION_REQUIRED status, automatic resumption in generateContent and chats), billable token count fields, accumulated streaming usage metadata, and transcription timestamp options. It also raises default HTTP timeouts and fixes continuation handling in chat history.
