OpenAI released Python SDK v3.25.0 (2026-10-06) with agents features for observing local tool failures, running local tools during streamed session creation, and agent turn items with usage source grouping. It also adds public export of type_to_response_format_param and tool search (defer_loading=true) support in typed function helpers.
