OpenAI Python SDK v3.23.0 (2026-10-01) adds several beta Agents capabilities including returning typed answers from session streams, staging files, downloading turn artifacts, exposing typed application actions as agent tools, and collecting final output from Agents streams. It also adds session traces and Realtime translations to the API, plus bug fixes for Chat Completions image detail, eval run cancellation, WebSocket paths/query parameters, and reconnect behavior for responses.
